Ugom Community Suffers Another Tragic Attack—One Kidnapped, Others Escape by Miracle
Today again, 12th November 2025, the Fulani attackers, as usual, struck our helpless and peace-loving people of Ugom Community, under Maro Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
During this fresh attack, one of our beloved sons, Mr. Josiah Maikasa, was kidnapped. In the course of their operation, they almost abducted three other members of our community, but by the divine mercy of Almighty God, they narrowly escaped, running for their dear lives. In the process, they were forced to abandon their three motorbikes (Boxer machines), which the terrorists later carted away along with Mr. Josiah Maikasa.
An eyewitness painfully recounted, “I could see the terrorists riding on the bikes, while Mr. Josiah and the other victims were seen trekking under duress, looking weak and terrified.”
Our people are suffocating under unbearable fear, trauma, and hopelessness, yet all we continue to hear is that Kaduna insecurity is getting better or has become a thing of the past. How can anyone claim peace has returned when our communities are still crying daily from the pains of abduction, killings, and displacement?
We are on our knees every single day, calling and crying for help from the government, security agencies, and well-meaning Nigerians. We can no longer bear this silence in the face of our suffering. Please, help us. We, the people of Ugom, are pleading for protection, justice, and intervention before we are completely wiped out.
Signed:
Onnusim Alhaji Ishaya
Chairman, Ugom Progressive Union (UPU)
